From the president:
On behalf of the microgrant review committee and senior leadership team, I want to extend my appreciation to all who dedicated their time to submit projects for careful consideration. A total of 13 innovative proposals were received, underscoring a steadfast commitment to improving student access and engagement. This culture of innovation is poised to drive continuous enrollment growth, empowering RCC to expand its support for the educational aspirations of individuals in the Rogue Valley. The resulting increase in enrollment will not only fortify our ability to assist students, but also amplify the resources available to our dedicated faculty and staff. We are excited to support projects identified by those who have direct impact with our students on a daily basis.
While each project demonstrated commendable qualities, a few diverged from the one-time nature of the microgrant or prompted inquiries regarding sustainability and impact. To those whose proposals were not selected for funding, I encourage you to carefully review the provided feedback as a valuable resource for future opportunities. For those whose projects will be funded, if your project holds merit, consider incorporating it into your 2024/25 annual budget submission.
