An update about our network outage

What to know about the outage

Please know that we are working diligently to bring our network systems back online as quickly as possible. The website, myRogue and phones have been affected by this outage. Blackboard(link is external) and email(link is external) are not affected.

We share your frustrations, and we greatly appreciate your patience. This update will answer many questions you may have about registration, scholarship deadlines and how to access Student Services.

As you may be aware, RCC recently detected a data security incident impacting its network. This resulted in the inaccessibility of some systems. Other systems were proactively taken offline as a precautionary measure. We immediately retained a leading cybersecurity and digital forensics firm to assist us in remediating and investigating the incident. As an initial measure, we have deployed advanced security software to ensure this incident has been fully contained. We are continuing to investigate to determine what happened and how.

Some students have expressed concern about the security of personal information. At this point there is no indication any information has been taken or misused. If this changes we will let you know immediately.

We are working to restore roguecc.edu websitecourse schedule and myRogue as quickly as possible. We anticipate all three will be available Monday and, hopefully, you will see some systems restored sooner.

The registration schedule for spring term has been updated. Priority registration is now scheduled to begin Monday, March 1. The registration schedule will be updated once the website is restored.

The deadline to withdraw from winter classes has been extended to 11:59 p.m. Friday, March 12. Students may withdraw in myRogue once the system comes back online. If you experience problems, email registrar@roguecc.edu.

The deadline to apply for RCC Foundation scholarships has been extended to March 31.
