Blackboard to Ultra: Transition & Training Opportunities

Starting this fall, Rogue Community College will transition all Blackboard courses to Blackboard Learn Ultra—the platform’s new and improved version. Ultra offers a more streamlined and dynamic experience, making course management easier for instructors and enhancing the learning environment for students.

To help faculty and staff navigate this transition, RCC is offering a variety of training opportunities throughout the summer. Whether you’re looking to get a head start on learning Ultra or need guidance along the way, our training sessions are designed to support you every step of the way.

Ultra Training Session 1: Creating Dynamic Content

Kicking off your Ultra training journey? Blackboard trainer Carolyn Ponce has created an excellent video series that breaks down the essentials of Ultra. In the first of her five sessions, you’ll learn how to build and organize content effectively. Watch the full recording and explore our Ultra Guides to get started today!

Over the next few weeks, we’ll also be highlighting additional training videos that cover everything from course building to grading and communication, helping you master Ultra in bite-sized pieces.

Ultra Drop-In Sessions

If you have any questions or need help with Blackboard Ultra, RCC’s Blackboard admins are available to assist you during our summer drop-in sessions. These sessions are flexible—pop in whenever you need and stay as long as you like. We’re here to support you every step of the way!

Join a Drop-In Session – Mondays through Thursdays, 2-3 p.m. Stay tuned for more training opportunities as we continue to roll out Ultra. For more information, contact the RCC Teaching and Learning Center at TLC@roguecc.edu.
