Courageous Conversations: Calling the Salmon Home

A historic demolition project is happening right now just southwest of the Rogue Valley that will evolve into a restoration project of monumental proportions. The removal of the Klamath River dam is the largest dam removal project in the United States—the oldest of the dams being in place for more than 100 years.

The RCC Diversity Programming Board invites you to join us on Zoom for an engaging conversation about the Klamath River dam removal project. Learn about the history, the impact to our tribal communities and efforts to bring the salmon home. Guest speakers include:

  • David West, Elder and Enrolled Member, Potawatomi Nation
  • Dorothy Swain, Sustainable Rogue Valley & Adjunct Faculty-Science

Event: Courageous Conversations: Calling the Salmon Home
