Drive, Putt and Give Back: Golfers Wanted

The RCC Military Resource Centers (MRCs) and Student Veterans Organization (SVO) are excited to host the Scholars and Stripes Golf Tournament at the Resort at Eagle Point on Saturday, April 19, 2025. This event supports a scholarship fund for student veterans, their spouses and their families.

While the GI Bill provides educational benefits to some military-affiliated students, it does not always cover unexpected expenses that can hinder their ability to attend classes or complete a term. To address this, RCC’s Military Resource Centers and Student Veterans Organization, in collaboration with the RCC Foundation, are establishing a project fund to help remove financial barriers for military students.

This scholarship program will provide funding on a term-by-term basis through an application process to cover unexpected costs, including:

  • Housing (rent/mortgage)
  • Utility bills
  • Childcare
  • Car insurance
  • Auto repairs
  • Emergency expenses
  • Bus passes (per term)
  • Medical bills (not covered by insurance)
  • Gas cards

Your participation and support as a player will make a meaningful impact on the lives of RCC’s student veterans and their families.

Sign up your four-person team today. Player registration is $100 per person or $400 per team. Visit www.roguecc.edu/golf2025 to register and learn more. For questions please contact Nikki Johnson on Teams or by phone at 541-956-7109.
