Upcoming professional development hosted by Open Oregon Educational Resources:
- Equity and Open Education Teaching & Learning Support Cohort Registration is open through March 25. Participants will earn a $200 stipend upon completion of “Part 1- Explore” (April 8-May 3, 2024) and will have the option to earn an additional $300 stipend in “Part 2- Implement” (May 6-31, 2024).
- Student-Centered Course Material Procurement Models. The current campus store model isn’t working for any stakeholder. How can we proactively get out of our campus store doom loop? Open Oregon Educational Resources and the Orbis Cascade Alliance invite you to a virtual half-day meeting to bring together OER champions, librarians, store managers, business officers, instructors, students and other relevant stakeholders in Oregon. Conversation will be held from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on May 3, 2024.
- Spring 2024 Virtual OER Review Workshops will take place on May 13 from 12-1 p.m.; May 14 from 5-6 p.m.; and May 15 from 12-1 p.m. After the workshop, you’ll receive a stipend for writing a review of an open educational resource.

- Support for the Solo Librarian, hosted by Texas Digital Library will be on March 27, 2024 at 11 a.m. PST.
- Registration is open for the 2024 Open Education Conference, taking place in person in Ireland on March 27-28, 2024.
- What You Need to Know: Inclusive Access, hosted by the ACRL Community and Junior College Libraries Section OER Committee will be on March 28, 2024 at 10 a.m. PST.
- Registration is open for Pub101, hosted by the Open Education Network, which has seven 1-hour meetings on Wednesdays, April 10 – May 29, 2024 (no meeting May 15), from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Register by April 9.
- AI & OER: Redefining Education? Hosted by CCCER on April 10, 2024 at 12 p.m. PST.
- What You Need to Know: Creating OER at Community College Level, hosted by the ACRL Community and Junior College Libraries Section OER Committee on April 25, 2024 at 10 a.m. PST.
- OER Sustainability and Advocacy is open through April 26, 2024.
- Exploring Open Education Publishing Platforms, hosted by CCCOER on May 8, 2024 at 12 p.m. PST.
- Registration is open for the Library Publishing Forum, hosted by the Library Publishing Coalition, taking place in-person in Minneapolis May 15-16, 2024.
- 2024 CCCOER EDI Summer Book Club meets at 12 p.m. PST on June 13, June 27, July 11, July 25 and August 8 to discuss Academic Ableism: Disability and Higher Education by Jay T. Dolmage.
