Upcoming professional development hosted by Open Oregon Educational Resources:
- Preservice faculty who teach education courses are invited to register for a summer convening, apply for a course redesign grant, and join a community of practice by June 14. Funding is available for the summer convening and course redesign activities.
Other opportunities to be involved include:
- The Community College Consortium for Open Educational Resources (CCCOER) 2024 Book Club meets at 12 p.m. on June 13 and 27, July 11 and 25, and Aug. 8 to discuss Academic Ableism: Disability and Higher Education by Jay T. Dolmage.
- The Open Education Group invites early career researchers to conduct studies in open education through the open education research fellowship. Applications are due June 30.
- Nominations for the 2024 Open Education Awards for Excellence are due June 30.
- Hosted by the Open Education Network, the OEN Engage! event is open for registration. This year’s event is virtual July 22-26. Register by July 12.
- Registration is open for the Cal OER event. This year’s event will take place virtually Aug. 7-8.
- Equity Unbound’s Mid Year Festival, MYFest24, is being held virtually in June, July and August. Registration is now open.
