Following a nationwide search, the Rogue Community College Board of Education on Tuesday unanimously approved five candidates as finalists for the position of college president. Each candidate will be invited for on-campus interviews.
The finalists were recommended to the Board by the Presidential Search Advisory Committee, a 20-member committee made up of RCC District stakeholders including faculty, staff, students, board members, and community members.
The committee reviewed 35 applicants and narrowed the initial pool of candidates to 13 semi-finalists. Following panel interviews of each semi-finalist, the committee recommended the following five candidates to the Board:
- Michael Holtzclaw
- Kristen Jones
- Tammy Robinson
- Michelle Schutt
- Randy Weber
The next step in the process will include in-person interviews and public forums with the finalists, tentatively scheduled for the week of March 7-11, 2022.
Biographical information for each individual candidate, along with information on interview schedules and public forums, will be made available via RCC’s presidential search webpage at www.roguecc.edu/PresidentialSearch.
In June 2021, RCC President Cathy Kemper-Pelle announced her plans to retire at the end of June 2022.
