We have fantastic news to share about the ongoing transformation of the Redwood Campus Marjorie Holzgang Concert Bowl as we dive into Phase One of the construction process.
Construction efforts have been in full swing, ensuring that the revitalized Concert Bowl meets ADA requirements, creates an inclusive space for everyone and accommodates the diverse needs of the community and the college.
Phase One construction efforts include:
- Minimum electrical improvements to operate the facility.
- Installation of electrical infrastructure for future phases where expanded electrical will be necessary. Future electrical work will include but is not necessarily limited to stage lighting and sound system, food and vendor stations in the parking lot and site lighting.
- Portable restroom locations for temporary occupant load expansion during special events.
- Installation of structural improvements as recommended in the 2020 RCC facilities condition survey.
The goal is to have Phase One construction completed by spring commencement on June 15, 2024. By the time RCC’s graduates turn their tassels from one side to the other, the Bowl will be ready to welcome students and their families for a lovely celebration.
In preparation for this monumental reopening, the Marjorie Holzgang Concert Bowl is not just available for use by the college; it’s for you, too—the incredible community. You can check out all the fantastic facilities Rogue Community College has to offer on the Risk Management webpage of the RCC website.
Additionally, a huge thank you goes out the Foundation for their support in helping this project become a reality, as well as an appreciation of the contributions of community members who dedicated named bricks.
If you would like more information about the Foundation and how it makes meaningful impacts on RCC students, programs and other projects, please visit their webpage.
The Revive the Bowl project has been a labor of love—one that will bring a beloved space back to life for the college and community to enjoy once again.
