KEY INFORMATION:
Date of Update: 9/8/2023 – 9/10/2023
Purpose: Upgrade to a new version of Windows Server for our document imaging solution.
ACTION REQUIRED FROM STAFF AND FACULTY
Please leave your computers running over the weekend to facilitate this upgrade. This is crucial as, during this period, our servers will be pushing new software to the PCs. This software is required to communicate with the updated document imaging solution. This will ensure a smooth transition and minimize any potential disruptions during working hours.
In addition to this specific upgrade, we’d like to remind everyone of the importance of always leaving your PC running. Regularly doing so allows us to execute essential security patches and maintenance tasks each evening. This not only ensures that our systems remain secure but also that they function optimally during working hours.
We recognize and appreciate the role each of you plays in maintaining the security and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. Your cooperation and understanding during this upgrade are greatly appreciated.
