Inclusive Hiring is back for a special summer session at Redwood Campus on August 14th and 16th. This will be our first in-person workshop since 2019! Lunch will be provided on both days. Please see below for full details and register at this link. (Note: You may be prompted to complete Okta verification to access the registration form.)
The Inclusive Hiring Series aims to establish a theoretical foundation of research about implicit bias and diversity, information about the changing legal landscape in hiring, and an overview of inclusive hiring practices within the context of our regular search committee process. All employees are encouraged to participate in the series so long as their supervisor approves. There is no requirement to serve as a search committee member upon completing the series.
As a reminder, we have formalized our inclusive hiring efforts by requiring that each search committee include at least one member who has completed the workshop within two years of the search.
We will be offering more sessions throughout the academic year, including Zoom options. Look out for that announcement here in the Rogue Report as fall term approaches, along with dates and details for our special session for hiring managers and search chairs.
