The Rogue Community College Board of Education at its Sept. 21, 2021 meeting appointed Central Point banker Jeff Lang to serve as an interim member of the board.
Lang will represent Zone 3 of the RCC District, generally described as northwest Jackson County including Central Point, Gold Hill, Rogue River and Sams Valley. The interim appointment runs through June 2023.
The Zone 3 position was previously held by Shawn Hogan, vice president of engineering for Linx Technologies, who did not seek reelection. No candidates filed for the seat in the May 18 election.
For the last 14 years, Lang has worked as Market Director of Banking for JP Morgan Chase, leading 19 branches in Central and Southern Oregon as well as Northern California. He has worked in the banking industry for over 28 years and has been recognized nine times as a JP Morgan Chase national achiever. He is a member of three internal business resource groups and sits on the board for the Oregon Market Leadership Team at JP Morgan Chase.
Lang resides in Central Point with his wife and two children. He is a longtime supporter of local youth sports and has volunteered with Junior Comet Sports, Table Rock Sports and OSAA.
