Pizza with the President — Wednesday, May 3 from 12-1 p.m. — ASG is offering a free lunch and opportunity to talk with RCC President Randy Weber at the Redwood Campus cafeteria. Please sign up in advance to ensure plenty of pizza.
Human Library — May 3 at RWC and May 4 at RVC — Check out a “human book” for a one-on-one conversation. Hear another person’s story, ask questions, broaden your mind and find common ground. This event will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Redwood Campus library on Wednesday and at the Riverside Campus library on Thursday. Organized by the Diversity Programming Board.
Pipe Fork Hike — Saturday, May 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Join the RCC Earth Club for a moderately strenuous hike along Pipe Fork Creek and through ancient forest on the east flank of Grayback Mountain. End of Year Celebration — Wednesday, May 31 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — The Ospreys Society club is hosting an End of Year BBQ at Riverside Campus. There will be food and games like corn hole and giant Jenga as well as a dunk tank.
Drag Show — Friday, June 2 from 6-8 p.m. — The SAGA organization, along with ASG and our Diversity Programming Board, will be hosting a Drag Show at Riverside Campus in HEC 132. Save the date; details to come!
Prom — Friday, June 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. —ASG is hosting a free semi-formal to formal Prom for all RCC at the Redwood Campus Student Center. There will be a DJ, photo booth and refreshments. No dress code. Reservations required; details to come. For more info, contact ASGRCC@roguecc.edu.
Foundation scholarships — If you haven’t applied yet for RCC Foundation scholarships, what are you waiting for? The deadline is June 1 to apply for the 2023/24 school year. There’s just one application for 100+ scholarships; it takes about 1-2 hours. On average, about 1 in 4 students who apply receive an award! Learn more at roguecc.edu/scholarships.
