Reason: Part of the challenge of IT is testing our own processes, especially when it comes to the challenge of keeping our technology environment safe and connected. As part of this we conduct quarterly “tabletop exercises” to test our tiers/teams in challenging circumstances. Recently IT Management asked Wade Mann to step up and create a new model for this training and the result was an engaging and extremely collaborative experience. In his work, he has moved RCC’s IT Department forward and our staff are looking forward to seeing the format expanded.
Name: Debbie Dice and Sonya Lagorio

Reason: Debbie and Sonya have demonstrated exceptional commitment to fostering a communicative, agile and responsive culture that strengthens partnerships and benefits students. While navigating a new billing system, they have gone above and beyond to support the High School Partnerships department by providing the student information needed to produce accurate reporting. By proactively identifying challenges, they have offered clear guidance and training to help schools adapt to the new processes. Despite multiple meetings, the need for clarification, and unforeseen obstacles, they have remained open to communication and feedback, working collaboratively to find solutions that will lead to a more streamlined invoicing and billing process moving forward. Through their dedication to problem-solving and partnership, Debbie and Sonya have helped High School Partnerships overcome challenges, reinforcing RCC’s commitment to collaboration, efficiency and student success. Reason: Sandra is a ray of sunshine at TRC and takes great joy in the work she does. Just today, she taught me how to say “Happy Friday!” in ASL. I appreciate how she engages with students and staff, and am blessed to see her smiling face every day. Great work, Sandra! You are an amazing human!

Reason: Angel has been such a great teammate. She worked quickly to help get a student her loans after an institutional error was caught and delayed the student’s loans. She is always responsive and willing to help with and/or clarify any questions I have, and she has been so helpful in giving me feedback along the way. I just wanted to send some appreciation her way for the work she does and the support she provides!

Reason: What an excellent team! We (Admissions and Recruitment) are so appreciative of our TRC facilities team and specifically their help when setting up events. When unexpected details pop up last minute, this team is positive and quick to lend a helping hand! This last Friday, our SOESD event had more people attend than expected. We were so thankful to have these wonderful gents available to move chairs and trash cans and coolers. They made the event a success!

Reason: I feel so blessed to have Tiffany as my boss. She is incredibly supportive of the entire college and our students. Even when she is busy with her own work, she never makes me feel like I’m bothering her. Instead, she takes the time to help me navigate whatever issue has brought me to her door. Through her strong leadership, the Admissions and Recruitment department functions as a great team. When they welcomed me almost two years ago, I wasn’t sure I would like it—especially since I hadn’t applied for the move. However, they made me feel at home and ensured I was properly trained for my role as a Rogue Central admin. Tiffany also encourages her team to join committees and councils, helping us stay connected with both the college and the community. She inspires us to find passions beyond our department, fostering both personal and professional growth.

Our hot water wasn’t working in Jo Building and while I was walking across campus to a meeting, I ran into Charlie and briefly mentioned that to him. He went right over to JB to check it out, diagnosed the problem and got it repaired that same day. I figured that it would be put on a to-do list so I was super excited that it got addressed right away. We appreciate having hot water to wash our hands and clean our dirty dishes. Kudos, Charlie!
