A significant network infrastructure update is scheduled to take place from Friday, Sept. 15, starting after 6 p.m. until midday on Saturday, Sept. 16. This upgrade is essential for ensuring our network services’ reliability, security, and performance across all campuses.
Impact on Services
• TRC and RVC Campuses: External internet connectivity will be lost during the upgrade window. However, internal network communications, department drives, and RogueNet apps will remain operational.
• RWC Campus: No downtime is expected for Friday evening, and all services will be operational as usual. External Internet connectivity will be lost on Saturday morning.
Rationale for Upgrade
The scheduled update is a part of our ongoing efforts to enhance network performance and security, ultimately aiming to provide you with a better and more reliable computing environment.
What You Need to Do
• If you’re based at TRC or RVC, please prepare for limited internet access starting 6 p.m. on Friday.
• Save any work that relies on external internet access before 5 p.m. on Sept. 15.
• Blackboard and emails will continue to function normally from a remote location.
