TRIO EOC is pleased to announce that Donna Chickering is our new transition specialist focused on community outreach.
Born and raised on a small, diversified Iowa farm, Donna has always had an interest in the outdoors and rural communities. This interest led her to a lifetime of work in natural resources and community development at various universities and non-profit organizations, including the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, Rural Development Initiatives and the Rogue River Watershed Council.
A lifelong learner, Donna earned degrees from Iowa State University, Southern Oregon State College and the University of Idaho, and many additional credits from Texas A&M and the University of Arizona.
When not working, Donna can be found pulling weeds on her property, gardening, reading or spending time with her animals, which include a horse (Frosty), a dog (Rainee), a cat (Hobo), and three chickens (Zelda, Martha and Matilda). She also volunteers for Chesapeake Bay Retriever Relief & Rescue, The Siskiyou Field Institute, and Josephine County Search and Rescue.
Donna is located in Rogue Central on the Redwood Campus. Stop by and say hi!
