Eight high school students completed RCC’s Hook and Ladder Fire Camp No. 1 on July 11-12. They learned about the fire service career, the process on how to complete the needed schooling, and several firefighter tasks.

Tasks completed included using firefighter PPE (personal protective equipment) including self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), forcible entry, ladder deployment, fire hose movements and hose streams.
RCC encourages students of any age seeking a career in fire service to contact an emergency services advisor today!
