Rogue Community College Dental Assistant Program Accepting Applications

Jackson and Josephine counties (June 5, 2024) – The dental assistant program at Rogue Community College (RCC) is accepting applications until July 12, 2024, for the 2024 cohort.

The four-term certificate program prepares students to meet the requirements to become an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA). Successful completion of the program equips students for job entry with state and national certification in dental radiology, and basic and expanded functions dental assisting.

The curriculum is based in general dentistry. Students receive training in four-handed chair-side assisting techniques to work with general dentists during all phases of patient examination and treatment.

The program in dental assisting is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and has been granted the accreditation status of “approval with reporting requirements.” The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education.
