Rogue Community College to Celebrate 2024 Commencement

Jackson and Josephine counties (June 12, 2024) – Rogue Community College’s (RCC) 53rd commencement ceremony is set for this Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the newly remodeled Marjorie Holzgang Concert Bowl located on the Redwood Campus in Grants Pass. Commencement will begin at 10 a.m., celebrating 31 GED® and 505 college graduates.

“We are incredibly proud of our 2024 graduates. Each student has shown remarkable resilience and dedication throughout their educational journey,” said RCC President Dr. Randy Weber. “Their achievements are a testament to their hard work and the supportive environment provided by our faculty and staff. We look forward to their continued contributions to our community and beyond.”

The ceremony will include keynote speeches from students Trenton Jantzer, Kaleb Horman and Marifi Somma, student recognitions and the presentation of degrees and certificates. Special commendations will be given to students who have exhibited outstanding leadership, creativity and service.

Parking is free on the Redwood Campus and for spaces closest to the Concert Bowl entrance, attendees should use the east entrance to RCC on Demaray Drive. Shuttles are also available from outlying parking lots on campus.

  • Shuttles will continue to be available throughout the ceremony, as needed.

This year’s ceremony marks a significant milestone as it’s the first to be held in the upgraded venue since 2017. Originally constructed in 1982 for the citizens of southern Oregon through the fundraising efforts of the RCC Foundation, the recent renovations to the Bowl have brought it up to The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) approved accessibility standards. These improvements include: new ADA ramps and stairs to the stage; a new concrete walk path into the Concert Bowl directly from the ADA parking area; and hand rails. The renovation also includes terraced landscaping and other aesthetic improvements.
