Seeking Outstanding Student Representatives of Our College

We are pleased to announce that the All-USA/Coca-Cola Academic Team, New Century Workforce Pathway Scholarship and Oregon All-State Academic Team program will continue in 2023-24! Please consider nominating a student for one of these prestigious teams. There are no essays for you to write in order to nominate a student. We simply need the student’s name, RCC ID and email address.

Desiree Remick

There are two categories to submit names for:
• Transfer students transitioning to a four-year school in fall of 2024 (All-USA Academic Team/Coco-Cola Academic Team)
• Career and Technical Education students completing their programs and entering the workforce prior to fall of 2024 (New Century Workforce Pathway Scholarship)

Students selected to move forward will receive local, state and potentially national recognition. Additionally, they will be considered for nearly $500,000 in scholarship opportunities (transfer students) or for cash to purchase equipment after graduation (for career tech students). Last year, one of our students, Desiree Remick, was selected to speak at the statewide luncheon, and is now an adjunct faculty member with RCC working in our tutoring center, as well as attending SOU as a student!

Please submit your nominations by Oct. 27. In selecting nominees to represent our institution, we ask you to consider students with outstanding academic rigor and grade point averages (minimum GPA of 3.5); participation in honors programs; awards, honors, and recognition for academic achievement, and service to the college and community.
