Upcoming professional development hosted by Open Oregon Educational Resources:
- Virtual OER Review Workshop registration is open. Attend a workshop on one of three dates: Aug. 7 from 12 – 1 p.m.; Aug. 8 from 12 – 1 p.m.; or Aug. 9 from 5 – 6 p.m. After the workshop, you’ll receive a stipend for writing a review of an open educational resource.
- Sign up by Sept. 29, 2023, for Open Oregon Educational Resources to sponsor your registration for the Open Education Conference, held as a virtual event on Nov. 7-9, 2023.

- The Open Educational Resources team at Utah State University Libraries is seeking peer reviewers for the textbook Foundations of Aural Skills, authored by Timothy Chenette, with contributions from Daniel Stevens. Contact OER Program Manager Stephanie Western at stephanie.western@usu.edu to express interest in being a reviewer. Feedback is due by Aug. 25, 2023.
- Summer Conversation – Course Marking for Research on Impact, hosted by Community College Consortium for Open Educational Resources on Aug. 1, 2023, at 12 p.m. PDT.
- Registration is open for CalOER, taking place virtually Aug. 2-4, 2023.
- Mark Lane, with Oregon State University, will discuss using Pressbooks for open textbook publishing at Tea Time, hosted by the Open Education Network Publishing Co-op Advisory Group, on Aug. 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. PDT.
- Registration is open for the Clover Park Technical College OER Faculty Institute, taking place virtually on Aug. 11-12, 2023.
- Course Marking: Vendor and Technology Considerations, hosted by the New England Board of Higher Education on Aug. 16, 2023, at 9 a.m. PDT.
- MYFest, hosted by Equity Unbound, takes place synchronously and asynchronously in June, July and August.
- Registration is open for the 2023 Creative Commons Global Summit, which will be held Oct. 3-6, 2023 in Mexico City and online.
- Registration is open for the OE Global Conference, taking place in person at NorQuest College in Edmonton, Canada, on Oct. 16-18, 2023. To receive the OEGlobal member discount, indicate that your institution is Open Oregon Educational Resources when you register.
