Upcoming professional development hosted by Open Oregon Educational Resources:
- Sign up by September 29, 2023, for Open Oregon Educational Resources to sponsor your registration for the Open Education Conference, held as a virtual event November 7-9, 2023.
- Fall Virtual OER Review Workshop registration is open. Attend a workshop on one of three dates: October 30, 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.; November 1, 5-6 p.m.; or November 3, 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. After the workshop, you’ll receive a stipend for writing a review of an open educational resource.
- Sign up by November 6 for a Modifying and Creating OER Workshop that takes place November 13, 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. After the workshop, you’ll receive a stipend if you practice modifying or creating OER and send us a link to your work.

- The Open Education Network’s Open Pedagogy Community of Practice meets on the last Wednesday of each month from 10-11 a.m. PDT. The first meeting is September 27.
- Understanding the Impact of Professional Learning on Open Educational Practice (OEP), hosted by the Pathways Project and the GoOpen National Network. Held on September 27, 1 p.m. PDT.
- Manifold Case Study with Northern Iowa University, hosted by the Open Education Network. Held on October 3, 10 a.m. PDT.
- Registration is open for the 2023 Creative Commons Global Summit, held October 3-6 in Mexico City and online.
- Gaining Faculty Buy-In for OER Adoption and Development: An Interactive Panel Discussion, hosted by CCCOER. Held on October 11, 12 p.m. PDT.
- Registration is open for the SUNY OER Summit, taking place virtually October 10-12.

- The Institute of Museum and Library Services is accepting two-page preliminary proposals for National Leadership Grants for Libraries and the Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program through September 20.
- The Call for Applications for the Certificate in Open Ed Librarianship Program with the Open Education Network is due October 20.
- The call for applications for faculty/librarian teams to participate in the Certificate in Open Educational Practices with the Open Education Network is due October 27.
