Upcoming professional development hosted by Open Oregon Educational Resources:
- Fall Virtual OER Review Workshop registration is open. Attend a workshop on one of these three dates: Oct. 30, 12-1 p.m.; Nov. 1, 5-6 p.m.; or Nov. 3, 12-1 p.m. After the workshop, you’ll receive a stipend for writing a review of an open educational resource.
- Exploring Artificial Intelligence in Open Education Contexts (not so scary after all?). Does AI give you the creeps? Join our panelists for a 90-minute conversation this Halloween to demystify current and future uses of AI in open education. Presentation held on Oct. 31, 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- Sign up by Nov. 6 for a Modifying and Creating OER Workshop that takes place Nov. 13, 12-1 p.m. After the workshop, you’ll receive a stipend if you practice modifying or creating OER and send us a link to your work.
- One Ton of Textbook Affordability Program Impact Data. One ton is a lot – 2,000 pounds – and that’s how much data we have on the impact of the statewide textbook affordability and open education program in Oregon. Presentation held on Nov. 17, 12-1 p.m.
- Inclusive or Exclusive? Examining “Inclusive Access” Textbook Programs. Join Nicole Allen for an examination of the “Inclusive Access” model and what campuses can do to prioritize equity and inclusion for course materials in their decisions. Presentation held on Dec. 1, 12-1 p.m.

- Designing Inclusive and Accessible OER Courses: A focus on Equity, Diversity, and Universal Design for Learning, hosted by CCCOER, held on Nov. 15, 12 p.m. PDT.
