Upcoming professional development hosted by Open Oregon Educational Resources
- One Ton of Textbook Affordability Program Impact Data. One ton is a lot – 2,000 pounds – and that’s how much data we have on the impact of the statewide textbook affordability and open education program in Oregon. Learn more on Nov. 17 from 12-1 p.m.
- Inclusive or Exclusive? Examining “Inclusive Access” Textbook Programs. Join Nicole Allen for an examination of the “Inclusive Access” model and what campuses can do to prioritize equity and inclusion for course materials in their decisions. Presentation will be on Dec. 1 from 12-1 p.m.

- Designing Inclusive and Accessible OER Courses: A focus on Equity, Diversity, and Universal Design for Learning, hosted by CCCOER on Nov. 15 at 12 p.m. PDT. Directly after the webinar there will be an informal 30-min Q&A lead by CCCOER Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee co-VPs, Andrea Scott and Wayde Oshiro.
- Accessibility Considerations in Open Education, hosted by WCET and NWHeat will be held on Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. PDT.
- Librarians are invited to participate in a survey on academic library eBook textbook affordability initiatives. The survey closes Nov. 17.
- Faculty and librarians with teaching responsibilities are invited to participate in a survey on barriers to adoption of OER. The survey closes Dec. 1.
- Measuring Impact with Open Education Course Markings, hosted by CCCOER on Dec. 13 at 12 p.m. PDT.
