Theater department seeks actors, crew for spring play

Students, faculty and community members with a Shakespearean flair are invited to try for a part in the Rogue Community College Theater Arts department’s spring production of the Bard’s comedy “Twelfth Night.”

A group audition will start promptly at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12 at RCC’s Rogue Performance Hall (black box theater), located on the RCC Riverside Campus at 130 E. Eighth St. in Medford. Callbacks will be the following week.

The production is seeking actors, singers, musicians and backstage crew. To audition, participants should prepare a 1- to 2-minute Shakespearean monologue and a song (optional) of the same length. If you play an instrument, please bring it and be prepared to show what you can do.

The show will run three weekends, May 17 through June 1, with performances Friday and Saturday nights as well as Saturday afternoons, and a preview performance on Wednesday, May 15. Rehearsals are planned to begin April 1.
