TPGP Travel Tip: Choosing the Correct Form

Navigating the Travel and Professional Growth Program (TPGP) form can sometimes be challenging, especially when deciding between RCC Travel and Non-RCC Travel options in the drop-down menu. To help staff choose the correct form and streamline the submission process, we’re sharing monthly tips to clarify common questions and ensure travel requests are completed accurately. This month’s tip focuses on understanding the difference between RCC Travel and Non-RCC Travel to help you select the appropriate option for your next trip.

  • RCC Travel: Refers to travel between RCC locations or meeting sites. This type of travel is for RCC business, occurs within the same day, and can include multiple days on one form.
  • Non-RCC Travel: Covers conferences, professional growth opportunities, or meetings and workshops outside the area that may require travel and meals. These trips typically span multiple days, such as a few days to a week.
  • Student Travel: When a student requires per diem meals per RCC travel policy, the travel must be completed on a requisition in advance.

All regular employees—excluding temporary staff, students and adjunct faculty—can submit travel requests. More information can be found in the Employee Travel policy. For additional support and training requests, contact Debra Watson on Teams or by phone at 541-955-7576.
