Unveiling Our New Phishing Reporting Tool in Outlook

Cybersecurity remains at the forefront of our mission at Rogue Community College. As part of our ongoing commitment to fortify our digital defenses and educate our community, we’re thrilled to introduce a new tool to assist in identifying and reporting phishing attempts.

Sophos Phishing Email Reporting Tool for Outlook

This innovative tool is seamlessly integrated into your Outlook client. It’s designed to streamline the process of reporting suspicious emails.

When you identify an email as suspicious and use the tool to report it, it is promptly moved to your “Deleted Items” folder, and a copy is automatically sent to threatreport@roguecc.edu. This dual action not only keeps your main inbox clear of potentially harmful content but also allows RCC IT staff to review the email for any threats.

For those eager to familiarize themselves with this new addition, we’ve prepared two comprehensive PDF guides. These attachments provide step-by-step instructions on how to use the tool effectively. We encourage everyone to review them to ensure we all take a unified approach against cyber threats.

We urge all members of our RCC community to use the Sophos tool actively. Remember, our collective vigilance is one of the most effective defenses against phishing and other online threats.

Please take a moment to view the attached PDFs for detailed guidance about online and desktop usage.

Stay cyber-aware and protect our digital frontier!
