There will be a significant upgrade to Rogue Community College’s core network equipment and campus internet connectivity. This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to improve the technology infrastructure across all campuses.
We have partnered with RightSys! to comprehensively evaluate our existing data paths between campuses. Based on their expert recommendations, we are moving forward with a series of enhancements designed to improve our network’s performance and reliability.
The primary objective of this upgrade is to establish redundant internet connections at the Riverside and Table Rock campuses. This improvement will ensure that data traffic automatically routes through the most efficient and reliable path, whether within a single campus or between multiple locations. These upgrades are crucial for maintaining a stable, efficient, and secure digital environment for our staff and students.
The implementation phase will take place over the next two weeks, and we aim to complete all upgrades before the start of the fall term. Our team is committed to ensuring a seamless transition with minimal disruption to daily operations.
Once the upgrades are complete, we will conduct a series of validation checks to confirm the operational integrity of our new systems. Rest assured, a contingency rollback plan is also in place, allowing us to revert to our existing infrastructure should we encounter any critical issues.
Your cooperation during this time is highly appreciated. We recommend staying updated on any IT notifications and reporting any network issues promptly to the IT Department. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the IT Department at ithelpme@roguecc.edu. We remain committed to providing the best technological infrastructure to support your work.
