RCC is excited to announce the summer term Week of Welcome (WoW) will take place July 8-9, 2024, from 7:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. across all campuses. This event is designed to welcome new and returning students, providing them with the resources and support needed for a successful start to the summer term.

The WoW team, in collaboration with the Student Engagement team, ASGRCC, Student Life and the Student Success Task Force, is calling on staff and faculty to participate in this welcome event. Volunteers will greet students, distribute folders containing campus maps and essential information, and offer guidance to foster a strong sense of belonging and engagement among students. With some stations set up outdoors, participants are advised to dress appropriately for the weather.
Key highlights of the WoW event include offering coffee, snacks and wayfinding assistance to help students navigate the campus efficiently. Faculty and staff are encouraged to sign up for available slots, check with supervisors for participation approval, and share the event details with students.
By joining this initiative, participants will play a significant role in ensuring that students have a positive and supportive start to their academic journey. Everyone is invited to wear RCC gear and name tags to create a welcoming and recognizable presence on campus.
