Let’s welcome Apphia Zink as a new faculty member for Nursing and Allied Health Occupations!
Apphia’s educational background began at Rogue Community College, and she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Oregon Health and Sciences University, Ashland. Apphia has been working in multiple areas of nursing including acute care, hospice, case management in the insurance sector and case management in the clinic and home settings.
Apphia is an Oregon native and mother of two wild boys, ages 14 and 11. She’s also soon to be married. Her friends and family are her most cherished possessions, and she believes surrounding herself with healthy, humorous people is one of the biggest gifts in life. In her free time, Apphia enjoys hiking, gardening and spending time near/on the water. During the colder months, Apphia enjoys her time on the ski slopes, likely surrounded by a group of kiddos who are now all becoming avid skiers. Her healthy lifestyle is her biggest priority, including getting out in nature, eating local quality foods and connecting with other like-minded people.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the Rogue Community College Allied Health and Nursing teams,” said Apphia. “It is an honor to be a part of bringing up the next generation of nurses and health care professionals. Please say hello if you see me around campus!”
I encourage all of RCC to stop by and introduce yourself to Apphia. We are excited to have her as part of our RCC family!
