Ian Kautzman has joined Rogue Community College as the new Instructional Systems Specialist, with a focus on the digital accessibility of online courses. His primary location is the Teaching and Learning Center on Redwood Campus. Ian brings a diverse professional background, having worked in instructional design, LMS administration, marketing, and real estate.
Currently, Ian operates and manages a vacation rental property next to his home overlooking downtown Klamath Falls and Lake Euwana. Previously, he was an LMS content strategist at The Dawson Academy, where he designed dentistry-related courses. At Klamath Community College, he administered the Canvas LMS and contributed to the development of online courses.
Ian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from Oregon Institute of Technology and an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies from Klamath Community College.
Residing in Klamath Falls for the past 25 years, Ian commutes to Grants Pass. He lives with his wife Natalie, two children Roman and Hallie, and their dog, Bear. For leisure, Ian enjoys taking long, adventurous drives with his family, exploring the Oregon coast or the mountains of Southern Oregon in search of mushrooms or perhaps even Bigfoot. His son, Roman, plays hockey on the Klamath Falls Ice Hawks 12U team, which keeps Ian busy during the winter months. His daughter, Hallie, is a sophomore at Klamath Union and enjoys playing softball, keeping him engaged throughout the rest of the year.
Ian is enthusiastic about joining RCC and looks forward to making a positive impact.
