New Role for Tamara Adams

Please welcome Tamara Adams as the new Office Coordinator for the Facilities Management, Planning and Construction (FMPC) Department. Tamara brings extensive institutional experience, along with a strong background in innovation and leadership.

Her academic journey began as a first-generation, non-traditional student at Rogue Community College, where she attended part-time as a TRIO SSS participant and earned an Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (AAOT) degree in 2013. Tamara continued her education at Southern Oregon University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Innovation and Leadership, graduating summa cum laude. Recently, she completed a master’s degree in Leadership in Higher Education from Bushnell University, graduating with honors and being inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society. In addition to her role at FMPC, Tamara serves as adjunct faculty at Bushnell University, where she teaches Law in Higher Education online.

Tamara’s professional career at RCC began as a student employee and developed into a full-time role, during which she has held various positions, demonstrating her versatility and dedication to the institution.

Outside of work, Tamara enjoys home renovation projects, collaborating with union representatives across Oregon, and spending quality time with her three adult children—two of whom reside locally and one in Portland.
