GRANTS PASS, OR – A free exhibit of Western and historic art from artist Carl Seyboldt is currently on display at the Rogue Community College (RCC) Welcome Center Gallery on the Redwood Campus in Grants Pass.
Spanning a 20-year period of Seyboldt’s work as an acclaimed Western artist, this exhibit encapsulates his style and subject matter, and includes original acrylic on panel paintings and giclee prints. The show will run through April 18, 2022.
Seyboldt, a nearly 40-year instructor in the Visual Arts department at RCC, is a highly regarded and recognized artists and illustrator. He is known both locally and nationally for his expressive, immersive and often dramatic portrayals of the historic American West. His vibrant acrylic paintings offer a unique journey into not only narrative pictorial moments but also into the captivating environments and locations in which they are set.
Many of the original works in this exhibit are being loaned to the gallery by generous local collectors of Seyboldt’s work.
Also included in the show is a small display of exemplary student work produced in Seyboldt’s classes over the last five years.
This exhibit is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday in the Welcome Center building at 3345 Redwood Highway in Grants Pass.
