First week of fall term? ✅ Done!
We hope you enjoyed your first days of class and are starting to feel comfortable with Blackboard. If you ever need help with computer issues, search for Student Computer Labs on the RCC website. You’ll find the hours and locations of our computer labs, as well as answers to FAQs like how to log in, how to get free access to Microsoft Office and the phone number to call if you need help.
Here’s more useful information to help you conquer the term:
RCC Libraries offer much more than just books! You will find computers, printers and small group study rooms at the library, as well as assistance learning how to conduct research for your papers or projects. You can even borrow a laptop, rent a calculator or buy Scantron sheets. As an RCC student, you can also obtain materials that are not available in local libraries through interlibrary loan.
RCC offers free tutoring for all current students. Visit the Tutoring Services website for details and a current schedule. For extra support with math (MTH20, MTH60 and MTH243R), check out the Math Marvels program.
Need a place to Zoom while you’re on Riverside Campus? The following rooms have been reserved for student use: HEC-216 (10am-10pm M-F), HEC-217 (8am-6pm M-F), HEC-224 (8am-10pm M-F). No reservations needed! Bring your own laptop and headset.
Apply for a student employment position! RCC offers many campus jobs with flexible hours.
Feeling peckish? There’s a new food truck (Nomad’s Kitchen) outside the Health Professions Center at Table Rock Campus. We also have vending machines on all campuses and new micro-markets at Redwood (Wiseman Building) and Table Rock (east end of A Building). The micro-markets offer an assortment of breakfast, lunch, beverages and snack items. We’re working on reopening the Redwood Campus cafe later this fall.
Keep learning outside of the classroom with the Diversity Programming Board, which plans special events. Coming up next:
- Courageous Conversations: Asian American Allyship, Sept. 28 on Zoom
- Islam 101 with Suhaib Al-Tamimi, Oct. 6 at Riverside Campus
- Seeking Shelter: The Josephine County Housing Crisis, Oct. 6 on Zoom
