The RCC Board of Education recently announced five finalists in the search for the next college president. Our current president, Dr. Cathy Kemper-Pelle, is retiring in June.
You’re invited to meet the candidates next week during public forums at the Redwood and Table Rock campuses. Forums will be held from 9:45-11:15 a.m. at the TRC Health Professions Center, Room 150, and from 3:45-5:15 p.m. at the RWC Rogue Auditorium on the following days:
- Monday, 3/7 — Candidate: Dr. Michael Holtzclaw
- Tuesday, 3/8 — Candidate: Dr. Tammy Robinson
- Wednesday, 3/9 — Candidate: Dr. Michelle Schutt
- Thursday, 3/10 — Candidate: Dr. Kristen Jones
- Friday, 3/11 — Candidate: Dr. Randy Weber
You’re welcome to drop in for any or all sessions. Each finalist will give a 20-minute talk on the topic: “What are some current issues or trends with community colleges that RCC should anticipate and prepare for to best serve our community and our students?” Presentations will be followed by a Q&A with the candidates.
An opportunity to provide feedback on the candidates will be available on RCC’s presidential search website. For those unable to attend the forums in person, recordings will be available on the website at the end of each day.
More information, including a timeline and biographies for each candidate, is available on the website. For questions, contact Rachelle Brown, Assistant to the President-Governance, at rbrown@roguecc.edu or 541-956-7001.
